Research & Development

Their core mandate role is to coordinate activities relating to scientific research and development at national level and to collaborate with other research centers and facilities at regional and international level. The core activities of the sections are to identify national R&D needs and priorities; coordinate and promote activities relating to scientific research and development at national level; set up a National Research Foundation (NRF) to evaluate and approve research proposals; facilitate and promote liaison amongst national research bodies as well as regional and international research centers and organizations; ensure that applied research findings lead to commercialization; collaborate with national and international stakeholders to improve and apply R&D in the country; collect data on researchers, research facilities and equipment for the Asset Management system;Facilitate the monitoring laboratory services at national level.
